update

Hello all,
Everything here is going just fine as we prepare for the upcoming referendum. Our main mission is to provide barriers all over Baghdad near the polling stations to protect the lines of people. Our guys drive truck loads out everyday and place them where they are needed. It's neat seeing the direct impact of our work and how we are helping to shape this country, hopefully for the best.
I'm currently acting as the Executive Officer for our company which is keeping me really busy because our normal XO has been attached to perform another mission for a month, plus I have my normal duties as the platoon leader - I need a raise for all my extra work. I guess I like doing some of the new stuff, I've got meetings every day and then go try and solve the problems and get answers to the questions that arise. I'm definitely learning alot, but I also have to run my platoon so there's not much time for anything else.
We've hooked up an antenna outside our trailer that picks up some TV channels. We get one sports channel, a movie channel, a news channel, and then a prime time channel. Now I can watch whatever football games they put on I my room which is great. I don't think internet is coming anytime soon but I can use the office one every once in a while.
